TERMS OF BUSINESS

Alfastop is a e-commerce business which is based in the UK, we sell both in and outside the UK, we trade in GBP. Alfastop source parts that are manufactured in the UK, Europe and USA. Our own range of parts are made in the UK by small independent businesses and craftsmen, this is something we feel very passionate about.

 

Alfastop not only sells classic Alfa Romeo car parts but also has an extensive knowledge and experience of restoring, rebuilding and maintaining these cars.

 

Customers place an order with Alfastop using the website however, this can also be done, via email, phone or WhatsApp. Customers need to ensure that they use the correct product code where possible as this will enable orders to be processed quickly. If the customer is unsure of the product code Alfastop will contact the customer to establish the correct part, this could include sending pictures.

 

Upon receiving the order Alfastop will acknowledge receipt of the items either via email, phone or WhatsApp (dependent on how the customer placed the request) any items that are not in stock the customer will be informed or if an alternative options is available instead the customer will be informed.

 

If we need to we will confirm addresses for the purpose of invoicing and delivery, customers need to be clear when changing delivery addresses.

 

Once items are ready Alfastop will email the customer with the invoice including shipping costs and also include information with regards payment.

 

Payments are usually made via a “Pay by Link” from World Pay, these are sent to customers via email from Portello parts world pay account. We also accept payments by BACS transfers both from UK and internationally and over the phone. Portello Parts ltd does not retain, hold or store card information.

 

All items sold through Portello Parts ltd T/A Alfastop are sold in GBP and payment must be made before items are shipped. Shipping and delivery costs are met by the customer unless otherwise previously arranged. Costs are added to the invoice. (more detail found in Shipping Policy)

Data Protection, GDPR

 

We only hold information we need about our customers, we never share customer information with other third parties or other e-commerce sites or companies. Alfastop does not retain any bank or card information of our customers. Please also see our Privacy Policy.

Import duties and custom charges

 

For those customers outside of the UK there are import duties/ custom charges that you will need to pay, typically you will be notified by the carrier (ie DHL. FedEx, Royal mail etc) that you will need to pay the import duties/custom charges on these goods.

 

It is the responsibility of the customer to pay the import charges on purchases as they are the “importer”. 

 

VAT

 

Portello Parts Ltd T/A Alfastop is a VAT registered business, we charge VAT on anything sold within the UK. For those purchasing outside of the UK we do not charge VAT on goods. Anything purchased through OAP will not be charged with VAT.
