Manufactured in England exclusively for AlfaStop in stainless steel using specially commissioned tooling. The 1960 model year Spiders had the soft top bottom rail permanantly secured to the rear deck by two forward facing brackets. The brackets were covered by these two stainless steel trim covers which nowadays are rarely seen in captivity. This method of securing the soft top was not well received by the press or the public as the soft top was permanently on view & made the car resemble a drop-head coupe rather than a spider or sports car. For this reason it soon earned a none too complimentary nickname. Later cars reverted to afully disappearing soft top. Produced in small quantities in view of the limited number of cars requiring these covers.
